J1521_FARM SAFETY WEEK 2016cropped

Another Farm Safety Week is just around the corner and we need your help…

Farm Safety Week 2016 will take place from 4-8 July 2016 and is supported by the Farm Safety Foundation, Farm Safety Partnerships, the Health & Safety Executive, Health & Safety Executive for Northern Ireland and the Health & Safety Authority, Ireland.

The week acts as a reminder to local and rural communities that farming continues to have one of the poorest safety records of all occupations in the UK & Ireland but these organisations are working together to address this…

The fallout from a farm accident is broader than you might think. As well as the victim’s pain and suffering; there can be a significant economic cost to the farm. This is why, this year, Farm Safety Week will be asking farmers to really think about “Who Would Fill Your Boots?” if something were to happen to them.

Over the course of the week, Farm Safety Week UK & Ireland will offer five days of themed practical advice and guidance for farmers and highlight stories of families and farmers who have been affected by farming accidents but we need your help…

If you know someone, like our wonderful farm safety ambassador James Chapman, who would be willing to share their story and inspire others so we can start to reduce the number of serious farming injuries and fatalities that bring heartbreak and misery to too many families and rural communities every year then please get in touch.
