Future farmers think safety

It’s back to school and the Foundation have been busy delivering three farm safety awareness workshops across the country to nearly 500 students.  Bishop Burton College, Hull, CAFRE Greenmount Campus and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor were the beneficiaries this month and feedback we received from the student on the day included:

“It makes you think and helps you to be the one in charge”

“I’ll think twice before I start something”

“I now know what to do and I’ll think before I act”

“Thank you this is very important and I will always remember”

“Will be able to tell others and use the knowledge which got passed to me”

A huge thank you to our facilitators from RMS and to the tutors from the colleges and our partners from HSE, HSENI, YFCU, Wales YFC, RADARNI and Lantra.

BBC Radio Ulster also featured the Northern Ireland training on this morning’s show Farmgate section (listen at 15.20)
