A Christmas Message from the Farm Safety Foundation…

Wow! what a busy year we’ve had this year… award-winning campaigns, an exciting new development in the education programme and a brand new Mental Health in Farming session…

To finish the year, Olivia, Sophie and I have been working on a special message to share with you all on our social media channels. The short video clip features us of course and a young farmer from Cornwall, Matt Rawlinson as well as two social media influencers Hannah Jackson (Red Shepherdess) and Tom Pemberton to remind the farming community just how important they are.

When developing the concept for the film, we decided to approach Sam Oatey, Cornwall young farmer and Director of Oatey Media as he, and two friends Dan and Josh, had raised funds for us during the summer, driving from Cornwall to Pompeii dressed as the Scooby Doo’s Mystery Machine characters.

Sam’s company, Oatey Media is a film production company producing branded content for businesses and brands across the UK and internationally. They’ve already created films for some major players within the Agricultural sector including Cornwall YFC’s My Mind Matters campaign and the Royal Cornwall Show so they seemed the perfect team to work with.

At this time of year, any loss feels more pronounced so I decided to write a poem as a reminder of why you should work safely on farms all year round. Bringing Oatey Media on board to make our vision come to life seemed like a great fit and we are delighted with the results.

Please watch and if you like it please give us a like and share on social media.

Wishing you all a Happy and Safe Christmas

Steph xoxo
