FUNDING
In 2014, the board of leading rural insurer NFU Mutual made the decision to set up an independent charity to address the attitudes and behaviours to risk-taking and poor mental health in the agricultural industry. NFU Mutual have been committed to supporting the charity over the past 11 years and have recently pledged to continue funding the charity for an additional three years as part of their Charitable Giving Strategy.
The charity generates additional income through fundraising events, charitable donations and grants from charitable trusts.
Around 46% of the money the Farm Safety Foundation spends every year goes on charitable activities including education, communication and operational costs. On average we spend 23% on tracker research of our target audience and a further 33% on engagement including shows across the UK.
