I Should Be So Lucky

Those familiar with Farm Safety Week will be aware that our annual hero film has become a key focus for Day One of the campaign. It sets the tone for the week and introduces our theme.

We produced our first hero film back in 2017, voiced over and starring our, now, chair of trustees Jim Chapman MBE. His video had a few thousand views on social media and every year since, we have challenged ourselves to beat the previous year’s record ensuring more and more people see our key messages and have the opportunity to think about what they can do to improve attitudes and behaviours.

Last year’s Farm Safety Week hero film set a new record – reaching one million views! This is not to be taken lightly as these are not big budget clips and we do not use a creative agency – it’s the creativity of our small team that makes it happen.

Of course, we can’t bring our vision to life without the magic of talented director Luc Edwards and the generosity of farmers who give us their time, their farms and their stories so we can share them with you…

This year our thanks and appreciation go to Simon, James and Josh who you will learn more about as the week goes on. To local farmers – Catherine and Richard Walters – who very kindly lent us the wonderful Castle Farm in Studley as a filming location and to their daughter Bizza the undeniable star of this year’s hero film.

A very special thank you, also, to the insanely talented Camilla Jones Jewellers Alcester for remodelling the centrepiece of the film – our four-leaf clover necklace.

We know we are lucky to have their support and lucky to have yours…

So please watch this year’s hero film, like it and share it far and wide…
