It’s hard to believe that this is our third annual Mind Your Head campaign but, following the past two campaigns in 2018 and 2019, noise around mental health in the farming industry is thankfully growing and people are starting recognise the impact of this issue on the industry.
Mental health is one of the biggest areas of concern for businesses today and farming is no different. As the Farm Safety Foundation, we are raising awareness of the physical and mental wellbeing of our farmers all year round but this year, we want people to recognise how the job can, and does, impact on the wellbeing of farmers and their families and how poor mental health can have a direct and deadly impact on the job.
